| We are a GBTQ+ football club that has been running since 1999. Our philosophy is ‘football for all’ and we do not discriminate on grounds of ability. Some of our earlier members are no longer able to play football regularly and so we have begun a monthly Walking Football session on Sundays 2pm-4pm, usually alongside a regular football event, open to all ages and abilities. A lot of our new members have no football experience, and we find that Walking Football is often a more accessible activity than our regular football activities. We charge £8 for sessions but also have an access fund for any members for whom cost is a barrier. We are very keen to open up our Walking Football session to new members, particularly those from the LGBT+ community. |
